SWEDISH RICE | |
1 c. rice 6 c. water 4 c. milk 1 tbsp. cornstarch 3/4 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 5 egg yolks, beaten 5 egg whites, beaten 1/4 c. sugar Cook rice until done and drain. Mix milk, egg yolks, cornstarch, 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla together. Mix well. Slowly mix into hot rice. Pour into greased 9x13 inch pan. Make meringue with egg whites and sugar. Spread over top of rice mixture. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. |
