FRIED CHEESE 
4 oz. cheddar or mozzarella cheese
2 egg, beaten
1/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs
Crisco

Cut cheese into 1/2 inch cubes. Dip in beaten eggs, then coat with crumbs. Repeat dripping and coating. Chill coated cheese cubes for at least 30 minutes before frying. Heat Crisco to 365 degrees in a deep saucepan or deep fryer. Fry 6 coated cheese cubes at a time for 30 seconds or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot. About 4 dozen.
