CHEWY GINGER SNAPS 
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. oil
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour (1 c. may be whole wheat)
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. cloves
3/4 tsp. ginger

Mix sugar, egg, oil and molasses. Add remaining ingredients - mix thoroughly. Roll in balls (melon ball size) and bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Use ungreased cookie sheet.
