1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. softened butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract (optional)

Mix together and stir in:

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Refrigerate dough 2-3 hours. Roll - 3/16 inch on floured board. Put a little Pet milk in 4-5 bowls, add food coloring - stir - paint cookies (paint before you bake.) Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 8 minutes until edge is light brown.
