SUPER QUICK DINNER ROLLS
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). If you are not using a nonstick muffin pan, grease 5 cups of a regular muffin pan.

In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, milk, and mayonnaise. Spoon into the 5 prepared muffin cups.

Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until nicely puffed and browned.

Makes 5.

Super Quick Dinner Rolls

 Lauren (Alabama) says:
These were ok. They had the consistency of cornbread and tasted a lot like biscuits instead of rolls.

Very efficient recipe. The texture is a bit different from bread but it is nice. I would prefer 1/4 teaspoon of salt instead. You can replace other thing such as tomato relish with mayonnaise.

These turned out really great! They did rise a bit, I substituted Himalayan sea salt, added a pinch of sugar and a wee bit extra baking soda.

I've also made this recipe with one egg instead of the 2 tbsp. mayonnaise.

Family loved them! under 30 minutes to the table.

Quick Tip: Pull the biscuits out when times up, then add a small dollop of butter to the top of the rolls and put back into the oven until ready to serve.

So good! Thanks for posting!

I made this recipe last night and doubled the quantity of the ingredients, got about 12 rolls/biscuits out of it. They were delicious and super simple. So clever to use mayonnaise to substitute other ingredients. You can't go wrong with this recipe. Thanks Chris for posting this wonderful recipe!

I love this! So simple and idiot proof (me proof). I added just a bit of sugar because I like a bit of sweetness.

Definitely repeating!

These were very good. I was really skeptical about the mayonnaise in there but they were very moist and fluffy. I did add a bit of sugar like a few people said. I will be making these again.

I just made this recipe tonight in a pinch, and I have to say I was pleased I did double the recipe I also took the advice of multiple reviewers & added extra salt. I did also add sugar. I sifted my flour as well as my baking powder. I also didn't have mayo on hand so I did use miracle whip. Here in CO mine took about 18 min to bake Turned on Broiler but left in center oven to brown tops just a few minutes.. However they were moist I didn't get the biscuit texture like some other reviewers mentioned... They were plain tasting definitely. Probably great to add some extra flavor... but we like that in our family... Will make again!!

Looked like rolls, tasted liked biscuits. Ate them with jam. Yum.

These tasted very good (I totally went back for seconds and wanted a third)! I agree with the other comments about them more of a biscuit (hence the 4 stars) however I don't mind that especially with the simplicity. I broiled for an extra 5 minutes to get the tops more golden brown. Highly recommend!!

Delicious and easy. I basted the top part way through and then after with garlic butter. I have also added shredded cheese to the recipe, it is yummy!

 Nina (Australia) says:
Easiest 'roll' to make; agree with others that it's more like a biscuit. Hubby actually said they tasted so much like scones, which ironically, I've had little success baking! He enjoyed them with jam and butter. Good run-to recipe when you're on the run. Thanks!

You can add other ingredients to fit whatever you're cooking. Shredded cheese, garlic salt, etc. I have had them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

 Cynthia (Australia) says:
This recipe was fantastic. I made a double batch and cooked them for about 17 mins. I coated mine with melted butter and a sprinkle of dried thyme before cooking. They were easy, fluffy, golden and delicious.
