RUSSIAN COOKIE RECIPE (SUHARKIE) 
3 eggs
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. powdered sugar
3 c. flour or a little more
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter and powdered sugar; add slightly beaten eggs; add vanilla, then dry ingredients sifted together. Mix well with hands, if need to, and the dough should roll away from sides of the bowl. Pinch off half of the dough and roll out on floured surface. Cut dough in strips. Twist through the hole like a tie and deep fry. Roll in powdered sugar when cooled.
