INDONESIAN BEEF KABOBS 
1 lb. round steak 1/4 inch thick; cut into 3 inch strips

1/3 c. plus 1 tbsp. Crisco oil
1/3 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. sweet sherry or cooking sherry
1 tbsp. honey
1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
Garlic and pepper

Skewers

For sauce 1 tablespoon creamy Jif peanut butter.

Combine marinade ingredients and pour over meat strips turning to coat evenly. Marinate meat for 30 minutes. Turn oven to broil and preheat broiler pan (or light grill.)

Thread meat strips on skewers. Broil 1 to 2 minutes on each side. (NOTE: If using wood skewers soak in water for at least 10 minutes before threading meat.)

To make sauce combine 3/4 cup marinade with 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter. Simmer until smooth and thickened slightly while stirring.
