MOLASSES BANANA BREAD 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 c. molasses
3 lg. bananas, mashed (about 2 c.)
1 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter. Beat in egg, molasses and bananas. Mix in remaining ingredients just until blended. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 60 minutes.

I made this recipe two times recently using unbleached all-purpose flour and raisins instead of nuts. It is an easy recipe to double. Made it for Edible Books contest at our local library and for Easter dinner. It goes well with butter or applesauce.
