POTATO CASSEROLE | |
2 pkg. (24 oz.) frozen hash browns 1 pt. half and half 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese 2 sticks butter 1 tsp. salt 1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese Remove potatoes from freezer and thaw completely. Crumble thawed potatoes into a 9 x 13 inch dish. In a saucepan place half and half, Velveeta cheese, butter and salt stirring constantly until cheese is melted. Pour warm sauce over potatoes. Mix lightly with a fork in the baking dish to be sure the potatoes are separated and mixed with the sauce. Sprinkle the grated Cheddar cheese over top and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes, uncovered. Makes about 16 servings. This warms up great in the microwave and is also good with breakfast. |
