BEA'S DILL PICKLES | |
Place in clean quart jars: 1 clove garlic 1 red chili pepper (optional) Some fresh dill weed or seeds Stuff jars with cucumbers and to each jar, add 1 tablespoon sugar. Bring to a boil: 4 c. water 1/4 c. canning salt 2 c. vinegar (5% acidity) Pour boiling solution over cucumbers in jars and seal tightly. Place jars in hot water bath until cucumbers turn from bright green to dull. Remove and let cool. (One may place in 300 degree oven in pan with 1/2 inch water instead of hot bath, if desired). |
