CHOCOLATE KISS COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 2/3 c. unsifted flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. well-chopped pecans
1 (9 oz.) pkg. chocolate kisses
Powdered sugar

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. In separate bowl, combine flour and cocoa. Blend into creamed mixture. Add pecans. Blend well. Chill dough for 1 hour or until firm enough to handle. Unwrap package of kisses. Shape a scant tablespoon of dough around each chocolate kiss, covering it completely. (I roll each one in my hands.) Shape into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove from pan. Cool on rack completely. Roll twice in powdered sugar.
