BARLEY VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP 
1 (16 oz.) can green beans
1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 lb. boneless shank meat
1 c. barley
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
1 tbsp. granulated garlic
1 tbsp. black pepper
Salt to taste
1 tsp. sweet basil
4 or 5 dashes soy sauce

In a 64 ounce crock pot, place shank meat, Lipton onion soup mix, chopped onion, granulated garlic, black pepper, basil, and soy sauce. Cover ingredients with water. Simmer on LOW for one hour. Add barley; cover with water and simmer on LOW for another hour. Add green beans and corn; set on HIGH for 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
