PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH CHILI 
2 lb. ground beef
3-4 green peppers
2 med. or sm. cans tomato sauce
1 (#2) can whole tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
Pinch of garlic or garlic salt
1/2 tsp. chili powder
Salt and pepper, to taste

Put ground beef in skillet or frying pan with small amount of cooking oil. Cut peppers in one inch squares, chip onions and add to meat. Simmer until peppers change color, about 25-30 minutes. Then add tomatoes, sauce, and seasonings and simmer about an hour. About 20 minutes before end of cooking time add kidney beans and continue cooking this is a good winter dish served as a main dish or with rice.
