HARD CANDY 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. light corn syrup
2/3 c. water
6-8 drops oil (any flavor)
Food coloring

Mix sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over low heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils. Do not stir after boiling starts. Boil to 310 degrees. Remove from heat. Add flavoring and color. Stir only to mix. Drop tip of spoon onto greased surface. When firm, loosen from surface. It may still be warm when firm. Roll in powdered sugar.
