1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 well beaten eggs
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 c. raisins, ground
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda mixed with 1 tsp. hot water
1 c. nuts

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, oatmeal, soda, salt, sifted flour and lastly raisins, nuts and vanilla. Drop by teaspoons on greased baking sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven.
