NEW ENGLAND BAKED SHRIMP 
2 tbsp. butter
1/2-1 c. dry bread crumbs (use up old bread)
1/2 sm. clove garlic, crushed or whole if you like (clove)
3/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 lb. fresh lg. shrimp

About 45 minutes before serving. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small saucepan, melt butter and stir in bread crumbs, garlic and Parmesan cheese; cool. Shell and devein shrimp, cut through lengthwise until almost split.

Flatten and place in single layer in medium-size baking dish. Spread each shrimp with tablespoon of crumb mixture. Bake 15 to 20 minutes until shrimp are tender. Makes 4 servings.

Personally, I don't both to split shrimp but make more crumb mixture and cover thoroughly. Shrimp stay moist and crumb topping gets nicely golden brown.
