Oatmeal Carmelitas | |
1 cup plus 3 tbsp. All Purpose Flour 1 cup Oatmeal 3/4 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar 1/4 tsp. Salt 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda 3/4 cup Melted Butter 1 cup (6 oz.) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips 3/4 cup Caramel Ice Cream Topping (not non-fat) 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. In bowl of electric mixer, combine 1 cup of the flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, baking soda and melted butter. Blend at low speed until crumbs form. 3. Press half the crumbs into bottom of 8 x 10-inch pan and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. 4. In small bowl, blend caramel topping with remaining flour. Drizzle over the chocolate chips. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over caramel and bake for 15-20 more minutes. Allow to cool and then cut into bars. |
