KABOBS 
1 env. dry onion soup mix
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. vinegar
2 slices lemon
Bottled hot sauce
4 med. potatoes
2 green peppers
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. salad oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. round steak cut in cubes
Instant (non-seasoned) meat tenderizer

For sauce, combine first 9 ingredients with several dashes of hot sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Cool completely. Add meat and potatoes and stir to coat. (Potatoes should be partially cooked and then cut in quarters.) Marinate 2 to 3 hours. Remove meat and tenderize according to label directions. Thread on skewers with vegetables. Broil 5" from heat about 20 minutes. Brush occasionally with sauce, turning once. Heat extra sauce and serve with kabobs. Makes 4 servings.
