CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
1 sm. cabbage (shred cabbage finely, boil until tender)
1/2 lb. American sharp cheese (grated)
1 c. Italian bread crumbs (mix with cheese and set aside)
1/2 c. butter
2 med. onions (finely chopped)
1 green pepper (finely chopped)
1/2 pt. light cream (or half and half)

In frying pan, saute onions and green pepper in butter. Combine onions, pepper, cooked cabbage (drain) and 3/4 of the crumb mixture. Pour into 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Pour cream over top of cabbage (DO NOT STIR).

Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Good with ham, baked chicken or pork chops.
