2 c. cooked ham, cut up
2 eggs, beaten, combined with 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. onion, chopped fine
1/2 c. celery, chopped fine
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped fine
6 slices white bread with crusts trimmed off
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
Dash of pepper

Place bread slices in 8 x 8 x 2 inch square pan. Cover with egg/milk mixture. Combine ham and vegetables, spoon over bread. Chill for 1 hour. When ready for the oven cover with 1 can of soup. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until set. Ten minutes before done, top with 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese. Return to oven. Allow to cool 10 minutes to hold its shape. Serve in squares.
