RUM BALLS 
2 1/2 c. finely crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. rum (or flavored brandy)

Combine dry ingredients and nuts. Stir in flavoring and corn syrup. Add a little water if necessary. Form into 1/2 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Store in tightly covered container. Keeps well for a couple of months. Makes about 4 dozen.
