AUNT PEG'S BREAD PUDDING | |
3 or 4 slices of bread 1 lg. can evaporated milk 3/4 c. water 2 or 3 eggs 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Nutmeg Cut up in cubes any kind of soft bread. Place in 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Mix can of evaporated milk and 3/4 cup water. Pour 1/2 of this mixture over bread to soak. Add to remaining liquid the eggs, sugar and vanilla. Beat with egg beater until mixed thoroughly. Pour over soaked bread in baking dish. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Set in pan of hot water and bake 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. |
