ORANGE DELIGHT SALAD 
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. orange jello
1/4 c. broken pecans
1 pt. vanilla ice cream
1 med. banana, peeled and sliced

Drain oranges, reserving syrup. Add enough water to reserved syrup to make 3/4 cup. Dissolve 1 package jello into 1 cup boiling water. Add reserved syrup-water mixture; chill until partially set. Fold in oranges and pecans. Pour into one 6 1/2-cup mold. Chill until jello mixture is almost firm.

Dissolve other package jello into 1 cup boiling water. Spoon ice cream into hot jello; stir until ice cream is melted. Chill until mixture mounds when spooned. Fold in banana. Spoon over orange layer; chill until firm.

Variation: substitute strawberries for oranges and use strawberry jello.
