GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE | |
3 (16 oz.) cans French-style green beans 4 tbsp. (each) butter, flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 tsp. sugar 1 tbsp. grated onion 2 c. sour cream 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Heat beans; drain. Mix next 6 ingredients as for white sauce; add sour cream and stir until thickened. Fold in green beans; place in a 2 quart casserole and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes. ANOTHER OPTION: 3 cans French-style green beans, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, salt and pepper to taste. Bake same way. Last 3 to 4 minutes add 1 can French-fried onion rings. |
