1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. applesauce
2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. each of cinnamon and cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. ground raisins

Drop by spoonful on bakery sheet.
