2 1/2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix together carefully flour and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Beat together in small mixer bowl: butter, sugar, salt and vanilla. Add flour mixture and beat on high speed until consistency of whipped cream. Use like regular icing.
