LEMON BREAD | |
3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 2 eggs 2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2/3 c. lemonade 1 tbsp. grated lemon rind 4 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/4 c. light corn syrup 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Grease 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan. 3. Beat sugar and butter; add eggs. 4. Add flour, baking powder and salt; add lemonade and 1/2 lemon rind. Once blended pour into pan. 5. Bake 50 minutes. 6. Pour 1/2 lemon rind into corn syrup. 7. Drizzle syrup and rind over cake. 8. Bake 5 more minutes. |
