HOT DOG RELISH 
3 carrots
3 sweet red peppers
2 qts. cucumbers
2 qts. green tomatoes
2 qts. onions
1/2 c. salt
1 1/2 lbs. sugar
1 1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. mixed pickling spices

Grind vegetables. Place in bowl. Sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight. Drain. Add sugar, vinegar and pepper. Add spices tied loosely in cloth. Simmer for 45 minutes. Pour at once into jars and seal.
