HOT MEXICAN LASAGNA 
1 1/2 lb. hamburger
1 onion
1 1/2 tsp. cumin
2 cloves garlic
3 tsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. water
2 c. hot taco sauce (can use part mild)
12 sm. corn tortillas
1 lb. Monterey jack cheese, shredded
8 oz. sour cream

Brown hamburger with onion. Add cumin, garlic, chili powder, salt, pepper and water. Simmer 10 minutes. Arrange 1/2 the tortillas in 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour 1/2 of the sauce over tortillas. Spoon all beef. Top with sour cream in dollops. Sprinkle with 1/2 the cheese. Spread remaining tortillas (overlapping) on cheese. Pour remaining sauce over tortillas and top with rest of the cheese. Cover with foil. Bake 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 minutes longer. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.

I tried this recipe, except I added a package of taco seasoning, green chilis, and some sharp chedder cheese to the ingredients. I also used a blend of Monterey jack and Colbey jack cheese. When I make it again, I think I will use more taco sauce and sour cream and spice it up a little more because I just love hot and spicey food.
