SCALLOPED OYSTERS 
1 c. bread crumbs (4 to 5 slices)
2 c. cracker crumbs
3/4 c. butter, melted
3 pts. oysters
1 1/2 tsp. salt
White pepper to taste
Worcestershire sauce to taste
1/2 c. heavy cream

Real butter should be used for best flavor, but half butter and half butter will do.

Melt butter and mix half with bread crumbs. In a separate bowl, mix remaining half of melted butter with cracker crumbs. Mix cream with salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. In a buttered casserole, layer ingredients beginning with oysters and ending with a layer of bread crumbs. Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees. If you prefer your oysters well-done, bake longer.
