SCALLOPED OYSTERS 
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 c. cracker crumbs
1/4 c. melted butter
1 pt. oysters, drained
Salt & pepper
4 tbsp. oyster liquor
2 c. rich milk or cream

Mix bread crumbs and cracker crumbs, and stir in melted butter. Put a thin layer of crumbs in the bottom of a buttered baking dish, cover with oysters and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add half the oyster liquor, milk or cream. Repeat and cover top with remaining crumbs. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Serves 4.
