GNOCCHI 
4 c. instant mashed potatoes
2 c. water
3/4 c. milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour

Mix potatoes with hot water and milk. Add the eggs and flour and mix with your hands until it forms a ball. If sticky, add some flour. Take a small amount at a time and roll like a rope. Take a sharp knife and cut off small pieces that will look like little pillows.

Place on floured cookie sheet and when you are ready to cook them, put them in boiling water in which a little salt has been added. They only take 5-10 minutes to cook. Serve with tomato sauce and grated cheese.

SAUCE:

1 lg. can tomato puree
1 lg. can tomatoes which are crushed
1 tsp. sugar, Italian spices, pinch of red pepper and cinnamon
1 lb. ground beef
2 lg. cans of water
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. chopped onion

Brown beef and onion in 2 tablespoons of oil and add everything. Cook on simmer for about 2-3 hours. Stir often.
