SWISS STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. round steak
3 onions (sliced)
1 can tomatoes
Flour
Salt and pepper
3 tbsp. oil or bacon drippings

Trim and cut steak into serving portions. Dip in flour and beat liberally with a meat mallet on both sides. Dip in flour again. Heat oil in a large skillet and brown steak pieces. Add tomatoes with liquid, onions, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on medium heat for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally and add water as needed.
