BANANA BARS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. mashed bananas (3)
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Mix sugar, sour cream, butter and eggs in large bowl on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally for 1 minute. Beat in bananas and vanilla on low speed 30 minutes. Beat in flour, baking soda and salt on medium speed, scraping occasionally for 1 minute. Stir in nuts. Spread batter in pan. Bake until light brown, 20 to 25 minutes; cool. Frost with Browned Butter Frosting (recipe follows). Cut into 2 x 1 1/2 inch squares. Makes 48 bars.

BROWNED BUTTER FROSTING:

1/4 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. milk

Heat butter over medium heat until a delicate brown color. Remove from heat. Mix in powdered sugar. Beat in vanilla and milk until smooth and spreading consistency.
