BEEF AND PEA PODS 
No Wok required for this tasty Chinese inspired dish.

1 lb. beef steak, sliced into 2-inch strips
4 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. dry sherry
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. Accent (optional)
1 slice ginger root
4 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. pea pods

Prepare the pea pods by removing the stems and strings. Rinse and dry.

Combine steak, soy sauce, cornstarch, sherry, sugar, Accent (optional) and set aside. Heat 2 tablespoons oil until hot. Add salt and prepared pea pods. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Remove the pods and spread on a platter.

Heat 2 tablespoons oil and ginger root until hot. Add meat mixture and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes. Add the pods and mix gently. Serve immediately while hot.
