SPICED CABBAGE 
1 head cabbage, grated
1 tbsp. sugar, heaping
2 stalks celery, grated
2 carrots, grated
Salt to taste
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar, white

In large bowl grate cabbage, celery and carrot. Pour 3/4 cup water into cup, fill up the rest of the cup with vinegar. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Pour over cabbage, stir. Add salt to taste. Mix well. If it is too bitter add a little more water and sugar.
