SAUERKRAUT CAKE 
2/3 c. butter
3 eggs
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. sauerkraut, cut into sm. pieces
1 c. water

Drain liquid from sauerkraut. Cream sugar and butter. Beat eggs well and add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients. Add to the first mixture alternately with water. Stir thoroughly. Add sauerkraut. Pour into 13x9 pan, greased and floured. Bake 350 degrees 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. cocoa

Cream butter and cheese. Add sugar and cocoa. Mix thoroughly.
