2 (1 oz.) squares semi-sweet chocolate 1/3 c. butter 2 eggs, beaten 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. flour Frosting Pecan halves or whole pecans Combine chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan. Place over low heat, stirring constantly until melted. Cool. Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla, and chocolate mixture, blending well. Add flour mixing well. Preheat waffle iron on medium heat. Drop batter by teaspoons onto waffle iron, spacing about 2 inches apart. Close waffle iron and bake about 1 1/2 minutes. Cool on rack and frost with your favorite frosting, top with pecan halves. Yields about 2 dozen. |
