1 pizza crust 1 sm. can tomato paste 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese 1 lb. Italian sausage 4 tsp. garlic powder or onion powder First, preheat oven to 425 degrees. Then pre-cook the sausage by sauteing it or frying it in a large skillet or frying pan. In the meantime, cut pizza crust into four sections and roll out each section to about an inch or 1 1/2" all around. When the sausage is ready, drain off the extra grease, then smear about 1 1/2 tablespoons of tomato paste on each section of dough. Then, place about 2 to 3 pieces of sausage on each section. Sprinkle a teaspoon of garlic on it and a handful of cheese, a generous handful. Then fold in the sides and roll the dough over to close it up. Make three slashes across the top exposing the cheese so it can cook well, then place it in the oven and let it cook for about 25 minutes until the dough is golden brown. Then dig in. |
