CINNAMON APPLE CUPS | |
2 pkgs. lemon flavored gelatin 1/2 c. red cinnamon candies ("red hots") 2 c. boiling water 2 c. unsweetened applesauce or 1 (1 lb.) can 1 tbsp. lemon juice Dash salt Dissolve gelatin and candy in boiling water. Stir in applesauce, lemon juice and salt. Spoon mixture into small molds. Chill until firm. Serve on lettuce, garnished with fresh fruit (1 cup green grapes) or canned pineapple spears, etc. Makes 12 small molds. FRUIT SALAD DRESSING: 1 c. Cool Whip 1/3 c. mayonnaise 3 tbsp. honey 2 tbsp. lemon juice Fold ingredients together. Good on all fruit salads, pear or pineapple with cheese, etc. Honey and lemon juice can be adjusted to sweet or tart fruit. |
