BUBBLE AND SQUEAK 
3 potatoes, boiled, cooled & mashed
4 c. cabbage, chopped and blanched
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. ham, cooked & diced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. sugar
3 slices bacon, fried

Fry bacon. Remove from skillet and reserve. Mix all of the other ingredients (by hand) in the skillet with bacon drippings. Cook until brown, about 20 minutes, over medium heat. Invert onto a warm plate. Crumble bacon on top.
