SQUIRREL STEW | |
3 squirrels, cleaned and dressed 3 qts. water 1/4 c. diced bacon 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 tsp. salt 1 c. onion, diced 2 cans of tomatoes, drained 2 c. diced potatoes 2 c. frozen lima beans 2 c. frozen corn Cut up squirrel and place in large pot of boiling water. Simmer until meat falls from bones, about 2 hours. Remove meat from bones and put back into broth. Add other ingredients and cook one hour on medium heat. |
