FRUIT TORTE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
2 eggs
Lemon juice to sprinkle
Cinnamon to sprinkle
Sugar to sprinkle
Fruit

Blueberries are best. Strawberries, apples, peaches, plums, etc.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugar and butter, add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Add flour and baking powder. Beat again. Put batter in 10-inch springform pan. Spread evenly in thin layer with spatula.

Place cut fruit or berries on top of batter. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve warm with ice cream, whipped cream or plain. Freezes well. Serves 8.
