Fresh Apple Cake - Recipe

FRESH APPLE CAKE

Combine:

1 c. Wesson oil
2 c. sugar

Add:

3 well beaten eggs

Put all in mixer and beat well. Add:

3 c. chopped fresh apple (not too fine)

Sift together and add:

3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Add:

2 tsp. vanilla

Bake in loaf pan 35 to 40 minutes at 300 degrees.

TOPPING:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Carnation or Pet milk
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook about 5 minutes. Pour over cake while still hot.
