FRESH APPLE POUND CAKE 
1 1/4 c. cooking oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. sifted flour (plain)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 lg. apples, peeled, cut in sm. pieces
1 c. chopped pecans

Combine oil, sugar and eggs; beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Add combined flour, salt, soda and vanilla. Fold in apples and pecans. Bake in well-greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes. Cool 20 minutes and pour on sauce.

SAUCE:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp. milk

Combine ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook 20 minutes. While hot, pour onto cooled cake.
