2 heads leaf lettuce - 1 green and 1 red tipped
1/2 lb. bacon
1 lg. onion, sliced thin
1 pkg. slivered almonds
2 cans mandarin oranges

DRESSING:

1 c. sugar
1 med. onion, sliced thin
2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. salad oil, olive or Wesson
2 tsp. poppy seed
1 tsp. celery seed

Hand separate lettuce. Fry bacon crisp and break into small pieces. Saute almonds until brown. Drain oranges, combine dressing in blender and refrigerate.
