SWEET POTATO BISCUITS 
1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. mashed, cooked sweet potatoes
1/4 c. milk

Sift flour, salt, sugar and baking powder. Cut shortening until mixture is like coarse meal. Combine milk and sweet potatoes. Blend into flour mixture. Roll or pat out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut biscuits. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes on ungreased baking sheet until golden brown.
