MICROWAVE NUT BRITTLE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 to 2 c. nuts (peanuts, pecans and almonds work well)
1 tsp. baking soda

In a 1 1/2-quart bowl, mix sugar and syrup together. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir in butter, vanilla, and nuts. Cook on high for 4 minutes more. Remove from microwave and add soda. Mixture will foam. Stir until foaming stops and pour out into greased cookie sheet. Spread as thinly as possible. Cool and break into pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
