PIZZA BY THE YARD 
1 unsliced loaf French bread
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 c. green onion, finely chopped
1/4 c. pitted black olives, chopped
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 green pepper, cut in rings
4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (1 c.)

Cut loaf in half lengthwise. Combine tomato paste, Parmesan cheese, onion, olives, oregano, salt and pepper. Add meat and mix well. Spread on top of the loaf halves. Place loaf halves on a baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with the tomato slices and green pepper rings. Sprinkle cheese on top of tomatoes. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes more. Serves 4 or 5.
