1 lb. ground sirloin 3 carrots, chopped 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 lg. (or 2 sm.) potatoes Pie crust (either purchased or homemade) Mix meat and vegetables with salt and pepper to taste. Make pie crust dough and roll out onto floured surface. Cut 8-inch circles and place 1/2 to 3/4 cup mixture on one side of the circle. Fold dough over to form half circle and pinch edges together. Cut slit in top for air vent. Bake on cookie sheet for 10 minutes at 400 degrees and lower oven temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot. Great for football games as can be kept warm when wrapped in foil and then newspaper. Eat with hands. Delicious! |
